Mistletoe, Viscum album

Mistletoe, Viscum album

Description

Mistletoe, Viscum album

Mistletoe Gemmo supports circulation by protecting vein walls from thickening. In a microdose, it boosts the actions of the vagus nerve, helping to regulate the parasympathetic functions of the body. This makes Mistletoe an important extract for improving nervous system function and resilience.

Why Olena Loves Mistletoe Gemmo

I love Mistletoe for its remarkable ability to support the nervous system in the later stages of healing. In microdoses, it helps build resilience, allowing you to feel safe and calm in an ever-changing world.

The Mistletoe Plant

Mistletoe is a hemiparasitic plant, meaning it begins life by feeding on the sap of its host, but later becomes autonomous, producing its own vital energy. This evergreen plant grows 2–5 feet in diameter and thrives on softwood deciduous trees like Crab Apple, Black Poplar, Linden, and Black Locust.

Mistletoe has long been associated with peace and healing. Norsemen believed it was a plant of peace, where enemies meeting under the mistletoe were obligated to stop fighting for at least a day. It has traditionally been hung over doorways for peace and good luck, and the Greeks believed it could ensure eternal life. The Celts used it to restore fertility in both animals and people.

Within the Restoring Immunity System

Nervous System Support

In a microdose, Mistletoe harmonizes parasympathetic functions, including breathing, digestion, and elimination. It also supports the organization of the sympathetic state, especially when regulation is under constant challenge.

Elimination Support

Mistletoe does not provide direct support for elimination.

Alkalizing Support

When used in a full dose as part of a protocol that supports the nervous system and elimination, Mistletoe is useful for resolving tumors and growths.

Acute Applications

No acute applications are known for Mistletoe at this time.
